Scottish Seabird Centre
The Scottish Seabird Centre at North Berwick is an award winning five star wildlife visitor attraction. From its stunning location overlooking the sea and sandy beaches, you'll enjoy a close encounter with nature to remember.
The ultimate in remote viewing, amazing live cameras on the islands beam back live panoramas and close-ups onto giant screens at the Seabird Center! There's an exciting Discovery Centre, Gift Shop and Cafe with open decking over the sea, talks, walks, new daily boat trips and a packed program of events. (Check out our Homecoming 2009 plans, celebrating our wildlife and natural environment through the eyes of John Muir, the "father of modern conservation"- packages available from September 2008).
Summer is a wonderful time of year to visit the Seabird Centre, with thousands of seabirds nesting on the islands in the Firth of Forth. You'll see the famous Bass Rock gannets in all their glory - brilliant white seabirds with their fluffy white chicks. There is a also a large colony of grey seals in the area and you may even be lucky enough to see the occasional rare and spectacular sighting of a dolphin, porpoise or whale.
